Brkini is a geographical area in Slovenia located southwest of the Karst region, bordered on the east by the Pivka Valley and the Snežnik Plateau, and on the south by the Ćićarija Plateau.[1] Brkini is divided into three parts: western, central, and eastern Brkini. The northern part of the area includes the Reka Valley.
