Daniel Astrain Egozkue was a Spanish footballer. He was born in Pamplona, Navarra, Spain on March 29, 1948. He played in the defense position.

Career

Club

Daniel Astrain was purchased by Athletic Bilbao, starting on the reserve squad in the 1969-1970 season. Two years later he was promoted to the main team, making his debut in Primera División on the 16 January 1972 in the Espanyol-Athletic match which ended 1-2. He was then with the Rojiblancos for eight seasons, competing in 222 games (182 in the league) and winning a Spain Cup.

He made appearances on the Basque Country national football team.
