Welcome/vandalism tag

I write generally to compliment you on your anti-vandalism vigilence, which I have often had occasion to observe, and, more specifically, for your use of the bv tag, at, inter al, User talk:SuperTrooper. For some reason, I was unaware of the existence of the tag, and, as such, when viewing vandalism from new registered users, have often appended the "welcome" and "test 2" templates to user pages at the same time, about which I've always felt a little silly. The Atul Chitnis article mess continues. You may want to check the talk page of this article - an edit war is brewing, and I am going to have to call for arbitration if this persists. Thank you for your quick response. I feel really awkward about this whole matter, which is clearly a strictly personal, non-WP related issue. I saw your note on the talk page, and I guess we will have to wait for a response from the other side, since I have already said a lot on the matter. Let's hope that they see your point. About that IP called 207.235.223.32...

I congratulate your efforts in fighting vandalism! You know that this IP has repeatedly vandalized WP several times including being blocked, right? Since you're an admin of WP, you can quickly revert edits made by vandals and block users or IPs that vandalize WP repeatedly. I would like to know what action we should take against this vandal but I heard that legitimate edits have occasionally come from this IP by looking at the IP's talk page. There's even a template at the top of the talk page stating that the IP will be blocked without further warning if he/she vandalizes a page on WP. What is the most appropriate action to take? Block the IP the moment he/she vandalizes a page? You can reply on my talk page if you wish but carefully read the previous entry. Remember that this IP might be a "severe vandalizer" and not the "occasional/rare vandalizer" as stated in the previous entry. Thank you. --Bruin rrss23 10:39, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Maryland

I have a newbie who does not understand sourcing or NPOV policies on wikipedia. She is User:Joan53. She has been consistently reverting good faith edits on the Maryland wikipedia page....note her contributions and subsequent arguing on other entries. She needs to understand the rules and also calm down. Her agenda is obvious and agendas/bias of any kind has no place here. She does not deal in verifiable info or facts in general. The yawn was for effect....but she _did_ say she was going to lock the Maryland site....I'll guide her as best I can, but I hope admins step in when she crosses the line. I have to think after 4000 edits here as opposed to her 1 week here I know what belongs...like verified info and NPOV info! Hey, Canderson7, thank you so much for your vote and comments in my RfA, which passed with an overwhelming consensus of 95/2/2. I was very surprised and flattered that the community has entrusted me with these lovely new toys. I ripped open the box and started playing with them as soon as I got them, and I've already had the pleasure of deleting random nonsense/attacks/copyvios tonight.
If I ever do anything wrong, or can help in some way, please feel free to drop me a line on my talk page, and I will do my best to correct my mistake, or whatever...
Now, to that bottle of wine waiting for me...

Tree

Does a Contribution Tree in wikipedia/wikimedia actually work? Look at this: [2] This is the link that i got off up the "popups" program i loaded.

This says that i've listed only 174 edits... But thats not even my complaint yet. Click on "categories", where it says "5". It says that i've made 5 contributions to a Korean Baseball Category? Which I haven't, but don't take my word for it. Click the link to it off the page and look at its history there. No slasher600. So what am I to do? Is this releasing faulty information?
