Queens Plaza Park is a proposed residential building, to be built in Queens.[1] The building will become the tallest in Queens, and the tallest building in New York City outside of Manhattan, replacing One Court Square. The building is one of many under construction in Queens Plaza.[2]
History
The site was originally supposed to hold a 16-story hotel, but economic downturn caused the developers to enter bankruptcy. Steve Cheung then purchased the location for $8.3 million, intending to build a 30-story condominium tower. Cheung then sold the plot for $46.3 million to Hakim and PMG.[3]
Usage
The building will be residential. It will be 900,000-square-feet and contain 800 units.[4]
