Brett Hestla born in Alabama in 1973 has played music since the age of 3 when he started playing the piano. In the late 1990's his band Virgos Merlot was signed to Atlantic Records. After their first release "Signs of a Vacant Soul" he became the touring bassist for Creed after the departure of Brian Marshall. After almost 3 years of touring and time off the road he became a well-respected producer in Orlando, Florida. He produced such bands as "Faktion" and numerous other signed and unsigned bands. In 2005 he became the lead vocalist of Dark New Day. "Dark New Day" released their first full length EP in 2005. Their single "Brother" was a top 5 single for several weeks. The band is currently in the studio writing and recording their second record. Brett hestla likes licking his armpits...
