Van C. Swearingen

This template must be substituted. Replace {{submit}} with {{subst:submit}} or {{subst:submit|author's username}}. Van C. Swearingen (February 2, 1873 - ?) served as Florida Attorney General from 1917 until 1921 and as mayor of  Jacksonville, Florida. He was succeeded by Rivers Buford.[1]

Swearingen was born in Nassau County, Florida. An account described hin as being self made. He worked in Jacksonville and served as a judge there.[2]
