The New York City Department of Environmental Protection is responsible for managing the natural resources and environment of New York City. The Department is responsible for managing the water supply and the quality of drinking water, wastewater treatment and air, noise and hazardous materials.

Emily Lloyd is the commissioner of the Department of Environmental Protection.
