Gary Lenaire

Gary Lenaire (born 1967) is a philosopher, author, guitarist, and vocalist. He has released 12 records and has been nominated for six GMA Dove Awards.

In 1985 he co-founded Christian thrash metal band Tourniquet. After leaving the band he, along with Guy Ritter, who is also a former member of Tourniquet, formed a new Christian metal band known as Echo Hollow in 1996. In 2000 he recorded various tracks that became the CD "The Lost Years". In 2001 Gary founded another Los Angeles rock band Cripple Need Cane, and recorded "The Big Dance". As of 2006, Gary along with other former Tourniquet members Victor Macias and Erik Mendez, is back together and working on new material under the name "2050".

As evidenced by his recent writings, Lenaire has turned away from the Christian faith. He has written various essays dealing with topics such as philosophy, science, religion and skepticism, however, Lenaire does not consider himself an atheist. Lenaire's philosophical position is Naturalism. A book by Lenaire, "An Infidel Manifesto: Why Sincere Believers Lose Faith", was released in October 2006.

He has also worked for Boss making demo videos of their pedals, such as their ML-2 Metal Core Distortion, with guitarist Johnny DeMarco.
