Drymocallis is a genus of plants formerly (and sometimes still) included with the typical cinquefoils (Potentilla). It contains three species, but more cinquefoils might eventually be moved here:[1]
- Drymocallis arguta – Tall Cinquefoil
- Drymocallis arguta ssp. arguta
- Drymocallis arguta ssp. convallaria – Cream Cinquefoil
- Drymocallis glandulosa (Lindl.) Rydb. – Sticky Cinquefoil
- Drymocallis glandulosa ssp. ashlandica (Greene) Soják
- Drymocallis glandulosa ssp. glandulosa
- Drymocallis glandulosa var. intermedia
- Drymocallis rupestris (L.) Soják – Rock Cinquefoil
Classification
Although these species are often included in Potentilla, molecular data suggests they are more closely related to Chamaerhodos and Dasiphora than to the species which make of the bulk of Potentilla (such as Potentilla reptans).[1]
