Chamaerhodos is a genus of plants from the rose family (Rosaceae).

features

Chamaerhodos species are finely or downy hairy, perennial herbaceous plants or subshrubs . The flowering stems are thin and upright. The leaves are alternate. The stipules are membranous at their base and fused to the petiole. The leaf blade is divided into three parts one to three times into narrow segments. Usually the inflorescence is zymose, umbrella-shaped or panicley, rarely it consists of only a single flower . The flowers are small - their cups are inverted-cone-shaped, tubular or bell-shaped. The five sepals are erect and persistent, the five petals purple or white. The five stamens are located opposite the individual petals . There are four to ten carpels . The ovule rises from the bottom to a compartment. The basal stylus are structured at their base. The few or many achenes are egg-shaped, glabrous and enclosed by the flower cup. The seeds are erect.
