Florence Eloise Hardt (September 17, 1917 – June 25, 2017) was an American film and television actress.[2]

Life and career

Hardt was born in Oklahoma, the daughter of a Cherokee mother and German father.[2] At the age of thirteen, she and her family settled in California for which Hardt got a job in working as a model.[2] She was photographed by Tom Kelley for which she was inaugurated to actor, John Huston.[2] Huston had helped out Hardt with her life, in which she signed a contract at the Columbia Pictures for which they've educated her.[2] She learned to speak the language English for which Hardt earned small roles in films.[2] She began her career in 1941, first appearing in the film You Belong to Me.[3]

According to The News Tribune, Wesley Ruggles located Hardt for which Ruggles had saw her in a picture in a Los Angeles, California newspaper.[3] She had an affair with actor, Gilbert Roland in 1949.[2] Hardt played uncredited roles in numerous films for which she later made a guest-starring appearance in the anthology television series Alfred Hitchcock Presents. In 1959, she starred in the new CBS sitcom television series The Dennis O'Keefe Show playing Karen Hadley.[4] Hardt won the role by her decision on the clothes she wore for which she then met actor and writer, Dennis O'Keefe.[5]

Hardt guest-starred in television programs including Charlie's Angels, Dr. Kildare, The Donna Reed Show, Dynasty, Death Valley Days, Lawman, Perry Mason, Columbo and Hotel (her final credit). She played Rita Beacon in the soap opera television series Days of Our Lives.[6]

Death

Hardt died in June 2017, at the age of 99.[7]
