Florence Wald (1917- ) was an American nurse, former dean of Yale School of Nursing, and largely credited as the founder of the U.S. hospice movement [1]

Biography

Wald was born in New York City in 1917 and received a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and a M.N. and M.S. from Yale School of Nursing. She became Dean of Yale School of Nursing in 1959Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).
