Fockea is a genus of succulent scrubs native to southern Africa, known collectively as water roots, a reference to their characteristic bulbous caudex, which is edible in at least some species.[1]
Species
The genus includes ten[2] or eleven species, although only three are commonly described.
- F. angustifolia, syn. F. sessiliflora, known commonly as kambroo
- F. capensis syn. F. crispa
- F. edulis syn. F. cylindrica
