The gentian-like (Gentianales) are an order within the flowering plants (Magnoliopsida).
description
There are a multitude of different life forms in this order. Woody plants : from vines over shrubs to trees ; herbaceous plants and succulents . The leaves are opposite. Stipules may be present or absent.
The flowers are radial symmetry . The petals are fused. There is only one stamen circle .
Systematics
The gentian-like within the asteroids to Euasteriden I asked. They comprise five families , with the Rubiaceae being the sister group to all other families:

- Gentian Family (Gentianaceae)
- Nitrous family (Loganiaceae)
- Red family (Rubiaceae)
