This page will never be Wikipedia policy. It does not exist, There Is No Mediation Cabal. References or links to this page should clearly mark it "TINMC".

We are the Mediation cabal, or maybe we're not, you never know, perhaps there is no such thing. You never know with cabals now, do you?

Even so, a lot of people who do informal mediation happen to have this page on their watchlists. The Mediation Cabal is intended to be the alpha implementation of the Wikipedia:Mediation (2005) informal mediation proposal.

If you just wonder if the person you're talking to is sane, if things are starting to get hot but haven't yet exploded, you know, small stuff you'd just like some advice on before it blossoms into actual trouble (hopefully!) , drop a note here, and a friendly mediator-ish person will likely stop by to help!

(Tip: You're probably posting here to try and get someone to Not Be Angry At You. It helps to try to put things in as neutral terms as possible here, and make it possible to contact you by e-mail or irc, that way the other person is less likely to feel hurt. :-) )

Who's involved?: Everyking is involved

What's going on?: He seems to attack everything I say, due to his complaints about my "attitude." His criticisms are explicitly not based on evidence, and he hasn't really clarified what I've done that is abusive, making discussion difficult.

What would you like to change about that?: Its existence.

What's going on?: From the outside, it looks like a sibling of the Snowspinner/EK conflict.

What would you like to change about that?: I'd love to see it cool down if possible before one or both knock on the Arb Com's door.

What's going on?

We both think the other is POV, and he is grumpy.

I cite plenty, he just doesn't like em. he cites plenty, but I don't care how many cites you have, you can't put POV in the narrative. Chips an editorial alt. press journalist, so its 2nd nature to him.
