Byron Wolford is an American poker player.

Wolford has cashed in various events at the World Series of Poker, including the Main Event. He achieved his highest Main Event showing in 1984 when he finished as the ruuner-up to Jack Keller. For his second place finish, Wolford won $264,000.

Over the years, Wolford made the final tables in other events at the WSOP, finishing in second place on several occasions.

He won his only WSOP bracelet in 1991 in the $5,000 Limit Hold'em event, defeating a young player, Erik Seidel, who went on to become one of the top bracelet winners in the history of the World Series of Poker (having won 8 bracelets). Wolford continues to play in various poker tournaments and his total winnings in live tournaments as of 2007 exceed $980,000.[1]
