Kai Atō (阿藤 快, Atō Kai, born 14 November 1946 in Odawara, Kanagawa, died 15 November 2015 in Tokyo[1]) was a Japanese actor and TV presenter. His real name was Kōichi Atō (阿藤 公一, Atō Kōichi), and his former stage name was Kai Atō (阿藤 海, Atō Kai) (written using different kanji characters).[citation needed]

Atō wanted to spend his high school life as a baseball player, but ja had no baseball team.[citation needed]
After Atō left his hometown, he attended Tokyo Metropolitan University, majoring in law-social science.[citation needed]
