Kai Atō (阿藤 快, Atō Kai, 14 November 1946 – 15 November 2015) was a Japanese actor and TV presenter. His real name was Kōichi Atō (阿藤 公一, Atō Kōichi), and his former stage name was Kai Atō (阿藤 海, Atō Kai) (written using different kanji characters).[citation needed]
History
Atō was born in Odawara, Kanagawa He wanted to spend his high school life as a baseball player, but ja had no baseball team.[citation needed]
After Atō left his hometown, he attended Tokyo Metropolitan University, majoring in law-social science.[citation needed]
Atō died at his home in Tokyo on 15 November 2015, a day after his 69th birthday.[1]
