Possibly unfree Image:Skin Book.jpg

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Skin Book.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Fair use rationale for Image:BOOK DERM.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:BOOK DERM.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Image source problem with Image:Danseymour.png

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Danseymour.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:47, 22 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Genisock2 (talk) 16:47, 22 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Pope & Agca.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Pope & Agca.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 01:25, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I regret that I must inform you that your request for the rollback permission has been denied. You can discover why by checking the archives at Wikipedia:Requests for rollback/Denied/April 2008#Megapen. RFRBot (talk) 01:37, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User page

Hi, I got your message.

By the way, I'm a PC-user and I have no idea what "Mac-style" means. But the most important part of a user page is what you tell everyone about yourself. So toward that end, I've thrown something up on your user page that you can start filling in, editing, and playing around with. In addition to the content, you can change the colors, the border thickness, etc., until it's something unique to you.

If you need help with anything specific, please let me know and I'll drop by.

Glad to meetchya,

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of State Limousines of England, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://wikicars.org/en/State_Limousines_of_England. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. UN offensive

Your article is great, however the title UN Offensive could refer to any offensive by the United Nations in the past 60 years. I'm going to leave your article alone, but I suggest moving it to something with a much more specific title. Thanks for listening. Czolgolz (talk) 20:12, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I'm surprised no one has written an article about this important battle. With a more specific title, some wikilinks and sources, this could be a fine article. Czolgolz (talk) 20:17, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have added wikilinks and linked to this article from the Korean war article. I'd appreciate feedback. Czolgolz (talk) 16:43, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Help

Sorry for the delay - I've taken a look at your contributions, and I can't see that you've had much experience in dealing with vandalism yet. Take some time learning the ropes manually first - since rollback is intended to be used only for cases of obvious vandalism, I'd like to see that you know what you're getting into first. I noticed that you'd also been declined rollback fairly recently, presumably for the same reason. Do some manual reversions for a while, and come back when you've got some experience. Happy editing! MOR Music - York, UK

Hi Megapen, I see you recently created the article MOR Music - York, UK, with maintenance tags but no content. As it was deleted shorty before this, I presume that was a mistake. Were you planning on writing an article there, or should it be deleted again? I would have already tagged it for speedy deletion, as there is no content, but just wanted to check in case you were about to add something to it. Thanks, --BelovedFreak 19:55, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WP:NPP suggestions

First, let me say that I'm glad you're so enthusiastic about new page patrol, but I'd like to offer a couple of (hopefully) helpful suggestions.

If you're going to nominate an article for deletion, such as Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Benjamin Harlan, please give a reason for deletion instead of making people guess. Unless it's an article of the type "Jason is ugly hahahahaha", it's usually best to wait a short while before nominating for deletion. Most new contributors aren't familiar with article writing, and it may take them several edits over a couple of hours to get down what they want to say.

Also, when you're tagging new articles with Friendly, please take a minute to think about the tags you're applying. This diff, for example, has several tags that don't apply or duplicate each other. Cleanup and copyedit are essentially the same for this article, and there's really nothing confusing, essay-like, or that needs expert attention in it.

Thanks! --Fabrictramp (talk) 20:12, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nominations

When you do AfD nominations, be sure to provide a reason for deletion, rather than simply listing it. It's very important that you state why the article should be deleted, or if you are listing it for some other reason (i.e. if you were completing the AfD on behalf of an anonymous user). Your reason doesn't have to be long (though elaborate if possible to provide context). See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nicole Sandler for an example of an AfD where a reason was provided. Thanks for your contributions! nneonneo talk 01:02, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would you please reconsider your tags on the above article: it is not unreferenced; if it needs copy-editing, why do you not do it? I may not be the most expert, but I do know how to use the sources which I HAVE CITED. You claim to be new user. Is this a case of "fools rush in where angels fear to tread"? Peterkingiron (talk) 22:26, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello - this is a new stub - it was created eight minutes before you slapped cleanup, notability and reference tags on it. This is premature and uncalled for. Stubs by definition need expansion - give it a chance to be expanded. Tvoz/talk 02:18, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Lepus Carnivorus

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Lepus Carnivorus, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. WikiProject: Political Parties template

Hi, I tried to help out with the task you listed at the award center, but the template doesn't seem to work if the article hasn't been assessed. I see. Well, I don't feel comfortable doing assessments for a project that I don't belong to, so I'll leave the tagging to project members. At any rate, I recommend looking into the coding of your template, as it clearly needs to be fixed. GaryColemanFan (talk) 21:34, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. As I noted on the Awards Center site, I just completed your challenge. Also (and not to be too picky) you have promised those who meet your challenge a barnstar but have been awarding "awards". Speedy deletion of American Issues Project

A tag has been placed on American Issues Project, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. -- Matthew Glennon(Talk to me) 00:04, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

TEST

On October 9, 2008 the Republican National Committee launched the first ad[1] questioning Bill Ayers possible ties to Barack Obama. It was followed by the McCain Campaign launching of an ad on 10.09.08. The ad calls Senator Obam "Too dangerous for America".[2] [3] It asks "Barack Obama and domestic terrorist Bill Ayers. Friends. They’ve worked together for years. But Obama tries to hide it. Why?" [4] and goes on to say "Obama launched his political career in Ayers’ living room. Ayers and Obama ran a radical “education” foundation, together. They wrote the foundation’s by-laws, together. Obama was the foundation’s first chairman. Reports say they, “distributed more than $100 million to ideological allies with no discernible improvement in education.”[5]
