Republican National Committee

The Republican National Committee ( RNC for short ) is the national organizing body of the Republican Party of the USA . It is responsible for coordinating fundraising , coordinating election campaign strategy and developing and nationally representing the political positions of the party as a whole. The body also organizes and operates the Republican National Convention every four years .

When the Republican Party appoints the President of the United States, the committee works very closely with him. The incumbent chairwoman since January 19, 2017 is Ronna Romney McDaniel .

Similar organizations exist in every US state and most counties , in some states they are also divided according to the district of Congress .

The counterpart to the Republican National Committee in the other parties are the Democratic National Committee , the Libertarian National Committee and the Green National Committee .
