Rielle Hunter, née Lisa Druck, (circa 1966 – )[1]is an American filmmaker. She was the basis for the character Alison Poole in Jay McInerney's novel Story of My Life,[2][3][4][5] a character that also appears in the novels of Bret Easton Ellis, including American Psycho and Glamorama.[4][6]

She created a series of videos for the 2008 Presidential campaign of John Edwards.[7] In 2007, The National Enquirer, an American tabloid newspaper, cited claims by an anonymous source that Edwards had engaged in an extramarital affair with Rielle Hunter during Edwards's 2008 presidential campaign, and that Hunter was pregnant. In 2008, the National Enquirer claimed that Edwards was the father of Hunter's child.[8] On 8 August 2008, Edwards admitted the affair, but denied that he is the father of Frances Quinn Hunter, born February 27, 2008.[1] One of his campaign aides, Andrew Young, has stated that he, not Edwards, is the child's father.[9]
