Leucosoidea is a superfamily of crabs, sometimes called purse crabs. They are small spider-like crabs characterized by a granular carapace and long claws. They are usually pale brown in color, sometimes mottled with lighter colors. They are fairly common - with 3 genera and 4 species known to Texas. They survive well in captivity. Size 1–3 cm.
