Miss Vietnam
Miss Vietnam (Vietnamese: Hoa hậu Việt Nam) is Vietnam's largest beauty pageant. The winner of Viet Nam completes in Miss World ( Beginning 2002 )
History
Miss Viet Nam was inaugurated in 1988 by the newspaper Tiền Phong (Vanguard) and is held biennially, occurring in every even-numbered year. Originally, it was called the National Miss Tien Phong Newspaper (Hoa hậu Toàn quốc báo Tiền Phong). Beginning in 2002, it was officially named "Miss Vietnam" and the winners would represent Vietnam in Miss World.
In 2007, Tiền Phong created the Miss World Vietnamese beauty contest for Vietnamese women worldwide.

Miss VietNam 2006
Miss VietNam took place in Vinpearl, Nha Trang . There were 34 contestants participating . The final included 4 competitions : evening gown, swimsuit, áo dài (traditional costume of Vietnamese women) and interview.

- In 2002, Vietnam sent the first delegate to the Miss World 2002 pageant (held in Nigeria and London, UK), Pham Thi Mai Phuong - Miss Vietnam 2002. She did very well during this event, also made a cut to top 20 semifinalist and finished at 15th place. Miss World 2002 : Miss Turkey
