Globular Cluster M9 (also known as Messier Object 9, Messier 9, M9, or NGC 6333) is a globular cluster in the Ophiuchus constellation. It was discovered by Charles Messier in 1764. M9 is one of the nearer globular clusters to the nucleus of the Milky Way Galaxy, with a computed distance of 5500 light-years from the Galactic Center.
