Philibert II of Savoy from his tomb by Michel Colombe

Michel Colombe (Tours, ca 1430 — ca 1513)was a French sculptor of the Renaissance, remembered for his magnificent tomb for François II, duc de Bretagne in the cathedral of Nantes (1507), and for the mausoleum of Philibert II of Savoy, at Notre-Dame de Brou, his masterwork (illustration) . A bas-relief for the Château de Gaillon is conserved in the Louvre Museum.
