I noticed your question on BJ's talkpage and thought I'd try to help. The image is in the public domain in the United States because it was first published prior to January 1, 1923. The Yankees can claim trademark, but they have no legal copyright over the logo anymore. :I don't think you're right that the jersey logo is in the public domain. A version of their interlocking "N" and "Y" was in use before 1923, but not the current version. It has been adapted and changed over the years, and the current version dates from the 1960s. If they don't own that because it bears resemblance to the original one, then they don't own the cap logo or print logo either (from the 1970s and 1960s, respectively), as they bear equal resemblance to the 1909 logo. That seems very unlikely to me. Sounds like we need a lawyer to weigh in before making such a pronouncement. Hi, the recent edit you made to American Football League has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Alexfusco5 21:28, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I believe you were hasty with this - that edit was the result of an ongoing conversation [[1]]. We had agreed to split the section off into four separate articles, and a previous editor left these instructions in the article: Please keep this section until all four articles are created; then remove. Which I did. So thank you for your diligence, but I believe your reversion was unwarranted. I did provide an edit summary: removing prior leagues since all four articles have been created - please see Talk Page, which I was hoping would refer people to the existing conversation and explain the reason for the edit.
I won't change it back myself as I don't want the perception of an edit war, but one of the article's other editors might. Just wanted you to know. SixFourThree (talk) 21:37, 29 February 2008 (UTC)SixFourThree[reply]

Re:AFL

My bad I misclicked because the next and revert buttons are next to each other, Alexfusco5 21:37, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I'm going to make the edit again. Thanks! SixFourThree (talk) 19:54, 4 March 2008 (UTC)SixFourThree[reply]

The new one you uploaded looks much nicer than the 100-year-old one. :-)   jj137 (talk) 19:44, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Glad you like it - I traced it from a picture of Cy Young's jersey in Cooperstown. SixFourThree (talk) 19:54, 24 March 2008 (UTC)SixFourThree[reply]

Hello there. Sorry to trouble you, but I was the one who created the cap insignia images for all the baseball teams. I'd do it myself, but I don't know how to work SVG's. Could you cut down the image for the Boston insignia? The more negative space around the logo, the smaller it becomes when the entire image is scaled down for the infobox. Cutting down on this makes the logo large as possible. Usually, I leave a pixel between the ends of the logo (in this case the top and bottom) and the edge of the drawing, which should be adequate here. Very nice job, though. Thank you.--The Silent Wind of Doom (talk) 03:47, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted edit on Florida Marlins

Thanks for experimenting with the page Florida Marlins on Wikipedia. Your recent edit appears to have added incorrect information, and has been reverted or removed. All information in the encyclopedia must be verifiable in a reliable published source. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Your addition was not supported by the reference you added. Horologium (talk) 20:58, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And I am reverting it back, as it is in the reference. You linked to the last page, which doesn't mention the "Flamingos" moniker, and it's not readily apparent that there are more pages to the article. When I revert it back, I'll fix the link so that it points to the first page. My apologies. Horologium (talk) 21:06, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks - didn't realize that I had screwed up the link. SixFourThree (talk) 15:52, 4 September 2008 (UTC)SixFourThree[reply]

Fashion jersey?

Please show me the EXACT link that says the official alternate jersey is a "fashion" jersey. Nowhere is the word "fashion" listed on the offical Rams website. However, the word "alternate" is listed for the gold jersey on the OFFICIAL website and therefore....that is an OFFICIAL alternate jersey. Please provide proof otherwise with the word "fashion" being mentioned. If you cannot....then please leave the picture alone. Thank you. JohnnySeoul (talk) 19:05, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at their online store again, you'll notice that the black jerseys are listed as "REPLICAS." The "AUTHENTICS" page[2] only shows the red and white. It's a fashion jersey. SixFourThree (talk) 19:10, 17 September 2008 (UTC)SixFourThree[reply]
Again, you fail to provide 100% proof that this is a "fashion" jersey. The word "fashion" is only used by you and NOT the OFFICIAL website. Would you rather I call if the "Official replica alternate uniform"?....LMAO. Leave it alone. Thank you. JohnnySeoul (talk) 19:14, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Cute, but you're forgetting that the initial assertion was yours - you are the one who must provide proof that it is an actual on-field jersey (on the team's official style sheet) and not just a fashion replica. That's why the "citation needed" tag was applied, to allow somebody an opportunity to support the claim. SixFourThree (talk) 19:17, 17 September 2008 (UTC)SixFourThree[reply]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:ALE-Uniform-NYY.PNG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. It will just be deleted again. I stated the reason I deleted it at the top of the IFD discussion. If you think what I did was incorrect, take it to Wikipedia:Deletion Review. -Thanks Nv8200p talk 16:25, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
