Encyclopedia Dramatica, Somey, the Wikipedia Review, Daniel Brandt and Newyorkbrad

The screenshots uploaded on Encyclopedia Dramatica's Wikipedia Review article that show Somey and Daniel Brandt tracking Newyorkbrad's IP address at his Manhattan law firm, as well as the IP addresses of other users there, were supplied to me separately by Jorge at the Wikipedia Review, who is a member in good standing. Additionally, Jorge passed along a threat from Somey to me:

I'm going to politely ask, just this once, that you not tempt me to take this any further than necessary. Also, why don't you tell your little friend Dave that I know where he's doing his internship, and I doubt the folks there would appreciate what he's been doing via their servers. Got it? I am FUCKING TIRED of this."

If they are forgeries, they were not done by me. What they show is that Somey has been tracking people's IP addresses and sharing the information, and is willing to use it. I hope that makes the people who post there feel good. Additionally, I forwarded all e-mails to members of the press, including Cade Metz at The Register and Seth Finkelstein at The Guardian, along with the screenshots, as well as to the Wikipedia Cyberstalking group that includes the Trustees of the Foundation and trusted users. --David Shankbone 05:04, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Are you actually using ED as the source for an assertion of fact? I don't even think that makes any sense whatsoever, and I'm one of those arguing strenuously against the link ban for that site. The things you're citing have been asserted to be forged, and given ED's love of photoshopping images, that's a more credible assertion than yours. *Dan T.* (talk) 11:56, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
