Sandra D. Knight (born September 2, 1939) is an American actress, painter and writer.
Knight acted in low-budget films of the 1950s and 1960s, such as Frankenstein's Daughter, The Terror with Boris Karloff and Jack Nicholson, where she plays an evil spirit, and Tower of London with Vincent Price. Her most well-known film is the bootleg moonshine epic Thunder Road starring Robert Mitchum.
In 1962, Knight married fellow actor Jack Nicholson, with whom she had worked on The Terror.[citation needed] They have a daughter, Jennifer.[2] Knight retired from acting in 1966. Knight and Nicholson divorced in 1968, and she went on to marry John Arthur Stephenson in 1982.
