usually refered to as just "Heights" Western Heights High School is a High School situated in Rotorua, New Zealand. Heights is the largest co-ed school in Rotorua and is rapidly becomming the most academic school in the area. This is largely due to the school's commitment to its able students. Western Heights provides students with the chance to sit the CIE (Cambridge International Examinations) as NCEA did not cater for the brightest of students.

Leavers 06

These were by far the greatest bunch of people to ever walk the earth. they were incredibly tight and it is very sad for them to leave Rotorua and venture into the wide world. Most of these students are studying in Wellington or Dunedin in 2007, however some are choosing Hamilton, Auckland or Christchurch. Their leaving Heights was celebrated at the senior prizegiving and at the leavers dinner, where some beautiful films were shown and everybody got yet another touching memory to take away.

Nicknames of some of the students

James McKellar - Peddy, this was due to an unfortunate incident whilst imensly intoxicated where he managed to spade an extremely young female. origins of the name come from paedophile and also a horrific attempt at singing Tom Pettys Free Falling in a NZ Idol audition.

Aaron Tozer - Slick, this was because as a younger student he was seen doing his hair in the school changing rooms and then, whilst making gun motions with his hands, called himself "Slick".

Christopher Sutherland - Gatman. Nicknamed thus due to his aptitude on the guitar, he can be found jamming alone or with others at school, parties and at home. Often seen with Nelson 'Jukebox' Shaw who knows all the right songs for large group sing'alongs.
