a farming technology known to have developed entirely in ancient Persia, Does this then mean "brought to an exquisite peak of technical perfection in Persia before it was even considered elsewhere?" Karez

I'm not sure if the origin of the word "Karez" is Pashtun, as is claimed by the article. The word Kariz was extensively used in old traditional Persian architecture.--Zereshk 10:10, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
