Confusions everywhere!

I've changed my username once again, this time its final. The "Lord" in LS was particularly annoying, and Sunday is already taken. Alas, this ne is pretty cool in itself. —Ceranthor (formerly LordSunday) · (Testify!) 15:15, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Earthquake

Talk:Earthquake/GA1 had no parent article; it was nominated as a G8 and deleted for that reason. Did I miss something? --Orange Mike | Talk 21:57, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FA articles

Hi Ed. I hope you don't feel too down about recent events on here. That RFA nomination which I only saw after it was closed was not what you needed. Sorry to see all that monkey business. Remember that the more productive or passionate the editor in content, the less likely they will receive support. As for having to apologise to that editor for trying to take the article to FA, this is absolute rubbish. Creating and developing an article to a high standard is nothing to feel bad about however it is done. There are however some issues which affect the promotion of some of the articles to FA. The Paul article was clearly not ready for an FA nomination which is why I had to comment, even though I think very highly of your work as a wikipedian. I know you are very keen to get some FAs under your belt, but I think with the majority of African articles you do extremely well developing them to GA let alone FA. In the future I;d hope you have learned from recent events to be more cautious with FAs and not to nominate them unless you feel certain (and others) that it stands a great chance of passing. Now I genuinely thought the 1964 coup article was excellent and in other circunstances feel sure it would have passed eventually. All I can say is keep up the good work and see if you can devleop some more African articles to GA which is more than pleasing trust me. Best regards The Bald One White cat 11:47, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. your help is required at Wikipedia:WikiProject Geography/Bot/Country List/nepal. Hopefully it shouldn't take much effort to get them filled in The Bald One White cat 12:58, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I just thought I'd drop you a note in reply to your question elsewhere about why the Paul Gondjout FAC was closed. I can't speak for the FAC delegate of course, but having read the FAC page, it seems obvious that the article wasn't quite ready, and along with Blofeld above, I concur with the close. While I believe you would have worked hard to resolve the issues that were raised, I think in this case there were probably too many to warrant keeping it open while the all improvements were made. FAC probably shouldn't be the place for substantial article-(re)building anyway. I suggest a peer review before resubmission. That way, you can keep it open as long as the process takes, and invite members of various Wikiprojects to throw in their $0.02 at their leisure. All the best, Steve TC 09:50, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PR request

Could you look over Nevado del Ruiz? I've been working and picking at it for a while, and I finally want to bring it to FAC. Thanks. —Ceranthor (formerly LordSunday) · (Testify!) 23:32, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do you like the article? I'll get to the fixes tomorrow, if MAv has commented by then. —Ceran'thor [Formerly LordSunday] 00:18, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Whatever. Check out my userpage! It's pimped out! Ceranthor [Formerly LordSunday] 00:36, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What part of Nj do you live in? i'm not a stalker, i just want to know 'cause I live there too. Ceranthor [Formerly LordSunday] 00:39, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Cas? I'm in Northern NJ, though. Ceranthor [Formerly LordSunday] 00:45, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, could you come back to check over my corrections for now, please? I know I'm not finished, don't criticize me! And um, no one talks like that in Northern Jersey, at least not around me. I think you are thinking more western New York-ish. Ceranthor [Formerly LordSunday] 19:28, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:PR

Um, about the eruptions before 1985 section, I can't really expand it anymore. If I could, I would've. ;) — Ceranthor [Formerly LordSunday] 12:12, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and sorry for being late to your replies lately, I've had so much work to do and so little time to edit. But, I guess I've made some big contributions lately, so I should be proud. It's not all what it's made to be, being a quality builder. Most people do one FA, do lots of admin work and then become an admin. But us content builders, well, you know how we are. ;) — Ceranthor [Formerly LordSunday] 12:34, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was going to see if FritzpollBot was to be resurrected, but I think we can safely assume that it will never go into operation. Such a waste of something potentially remarkable The Bald One White cat 20:39, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know, and I know just how easily it could be done too once it has been coded. I have asked Kotbot but he is very busy with Poland at present. I;ve even suggested to Fritz that he uses the bot to add all the missing infobox communes from French wikipedia to build the faith of the community that his bot is out to improve wikipedia, but something tells me he would state that "my bot isn't authorised to do that", and once again we'd be where we started off... The Bald One White cat 20:48, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for helping create these stubs about Nepal. I will try to expand them to the best of my knowledge. However, I have very limited knowledge of these placed myself and the best from me might come in the form of IW ! Cheers!--Eukesh (talk) 21:16, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I created that remaining GEOBOT list page anyway for the remaining articles, whether it is done by bot or manually. Tomorrow I'll try to dab as many as I can. It works very well when we work together on the same district, things seem to get done almost at bot pace that way! The Bald One White cat 21:19, 6 October 2008 (UTC) See this University of New Mexico "Nepal study centre detailed article on a VDC. Care to expand? Very impressive work! I'm not on here today, I'll either return later tonight or tomorrow. Keep up the good work, good that it has an image too! The Bald One White cat 15:35, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you commented on the (failed) FAC; please can you help me out by leaving some feedback at peer review? Thanks, and best wishes, -- how do you turn this on 12:04, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
