Elk Hill

North Knob is the highest peak in eastern Pennsylvania, east of the Susquehanna River. North Knob, also known as Elk Mountain, rises conspicuously above the surrounding landscape. The mountain actually has two peaks, the main summit of North Knob, and the lower summit known as South Knob 2,602 feet (793 m).

This mountain is also home to the Elk Mountain Ski Area and has a 1,000 feet (305 m) vertical drop and over 30 ski trails.
