Yasutaka Matsudaira is a volleyball coach and president. He was the coach of Japan men's national volleyball team from 1965 - 1972 and the first Japanese to enter the International Volleyball Hall of Fame.[1] Matsudaira was also previously a captain for Keio University.[1]

Volleyball

Matsudaira began as a player in 1942.[1] He later won a gold medal as the Captain for the Japanese Team at the 1961 Asian Games, later he landed his team Bronze and Silver medals in the 1964 and 1968 Olympics.[1]

He led the Japanese as the head coach in the 1972 Munich Olympics and won a gold medal in the event for the first ever time.[2]
