The Gleanings ( English : Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah ) is a book that 165 selected passages of Baha'u'llah , the founder of a religion of the Bahai contains. It is therefore an overview work for the writings of Baha'u'llah.

It includes various writings of Baha'u'llah, which he revealed from 1853 to 1892. In 1935 Shoghi Effendi compiled the most characteristic and then unpublished passages and translated them from Arabic and Persian into English . The selection was published in German translation from 1947 to 1953 in the magazine "Sonne der Truth", and in 1961 in book form. The original texts were published under the title "Muntakhabati az athar-i-Hadrat-i Baha'u'llah".
