The Çavdarhisar dam ( Turkish Çavdarhisar Barajı ) is located 3.5 km southwest of the district town of Çavdarhisar in the northwestern Turkish province of Kütahya .
The dam, located in the northwest of the Murat Dağı , is traversed by the Bedir Çayı , a left tributary of the Kocaçay , in a north-easterly direction. The Çavdarhisar dam was built between 1985 and 1993 as an earthfill dam . It is used to irrigate an area of 5242 ha. The dam is 45.5 m above the valley floor. It has a volume of 1,674,000 m³. The associated 4 km long reservoir covers an area of 3.92 km² with normal damming and has a storage space of 34 million m³.
