Éva , also Eva (* / † unknown), 2nd Countess of Buchan , was a Scottish noblewoman .

Life

Few details are known about her life: In the Gaelic notes of the Book of Deer , dated after 1130, one can find Colbán, Mormaer of Buchan, and his wife Éva, daughter of Garnait .
Her husband was one of the military leaders under William the Lion in the Scottish revolt from 1173–1174 against Henry II. His signature can also be found on a document from the period between 1178 and 1182; he appeared as a witness to a royal donation from Wilhelm to his brother David .

Colbán and Éva had at least one child together; Roger , heir and later title holder.
