The Île aux Champignons ( French for 'island with mushrooms') is an island in the Géologie archipelago off the coast of the Antarctic Adélieland . It is located east of the Sept-Îles and north of the Governor Island in the Baie Pierre Lejay .
French researchers named them after the large, mushroom-shaped deposits of spray ice that form on their coast each winter.
