Ö3-Mikromann

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ö3-Mikromann is a radio broadcast that is broadcast on the Ö3 transmitter as part of the Ö3 alarm clock . The moderator Tom Walek asks passers-by on the street in an often ironic and sarcastic way.

Passers-by are confronted with questions that are obviously joke questions but can easily be misunderstood. Apparently made nervous by the fact of a "radio recording", many fall into the trap and give funny answers to the seriously asked question. For example, when asked "Should the snowcat be placed under nature protection?", Many suspected that the snow groomer was not a device for preparing ski slopes, but instead incorrectly an endangered species or "How many eighths does a four-quarter cycle have?"

As a rule, the questions are asked in such a way that you can see exactly whether people have no idea about the topic in question and still pretend that they know something.

More recently, very simple questions have been asked that many do not know. For example, on the occasion of Christmas 2007:

  • What is the name of the son of Mary and Joseph?
  • What are the names of Maria and Joseph?
  • What is celebrated at Christmas?
  • How do you spell Christ Child?
