Ökologie & Landbau is a specialist journal for the ecological agriculture and food industry in German-speaking countries. Published by the Ecology & Agriculture Foundation , it has been providing quarterly information about current developments and new findings in the organic sector since 1977 and provides impetus for the further development of organic agriculture .

The magazine was originally founded as the German sister magazine of the English magazine Ecology & Farming , which is published by the International Association of Organic Farming Movements (IFOAM); The forerunner was the ifoam bulletin .

As a “thought leader”, the magazine provides well-founded information about the achievements of the organic agriculture and food industry and brings up critical points, but also addresses social, political and nature conservation-related content. In addition to articles on organic farming and animal welfare , z. B. also deals with topics such as food security and greenhouse gas emissions .

Ökologie & Landbau has been published by oekom Verlag since 2004 . Since January 2014 you can also subscribe to the magazine online as a PDF via the publisher's website.
