Ökologisches Wirtschaften - (own spelling " Ecological Economy") is a scientific journal for socio-ecological economic topics.

Ökologisches Wirtschaften has been published by the Institute for Ecological Economic Research (IÖW) and the Association for Ecological Economic Research (VÖW) since 1986 . Since 1996 it has been published four times a year with a focus on oekom Verlag , Munich.

In the journal, new research approaches are related to practical experiences from politics and business. In the field of tension between economy, ecology and society, new ideas for a future-oriented, sustainable economy are presented.

All specialist articles since the magazine was founded in 1986 are available for research and download on “Ökologisches Wirtschaften online”.
