The Helmbrechts eco station is an environmental education center of the LBV in the Helmbrechts district of Ottengrün.

The eco station was founded in 2002. In addition to the conference building, there are various stations and natural spaces on 13 hectares that serve environmental education and offer fields of activity for children, young people and adults. These include an underwater station that allows you to observe fish and other pond inhabitants and the woodpecker tower, which illustrates the nesting opportunities for birds. The area and the areas managed by the LBV in the district of Hof are habitat for rare animal and plant species, including the sheep breed of the East Prussian Skudde and the partridge . The 2014 model project was to make biodiversity , especially of migratory birds , understandable.
