The Oesterreichische Arbeiter-Zeitung was an Austrian Christian-social weekly newspaper. It was the "central organ of the Christian workers' and employee movement".

The Christian-social workers' newspaper, founded and edited by Leopold Kunschak (1871–1953) in Vienna in November 1895, first appeared in November 1895 under the title Freiheit! , on April 9, 1900, the title was changed to Christlich-sociale Arbeiter-Zeitung . With the article printed as “Farewell” in the edition of March 31, 1934, now under the new title Oesterreichische Arbeiter-Zeitung, Kunschak left the paper he had been running from the first edition to make room for the younger generation, as he wrote.

The last edition of the Oesterreichische Arbeiter-Zeitung appeared on March 12, 1938, one day before Austria was " annexed " to Nazi Germany.
