Austrian Air Rifle League

The ÖSB Air Rifle Bundesliga is the highest Austrian class of sport shooters for team shooting with the air rifle .

The Austrian Rifle Federation has been organizing the Bundesliga for the air rifle competition since autumn 2010 . In this preliminary fights take place in the groups West, Middle and East, whereby the best four teams in each group qualify for the final. There is then fought in the knockout system up to the championship. The winner of the Bundesliga is also the Austrian team champion. The competitions are held from October to April. A team consists of four shooters.

It is a 10 meters from target shot, the center of which has (10 rings) having a diameter of 0.5 millimeters. The following rings are each 2.5 millimeters apart. The aim is to hit the target in the center as possible. It is shot standing, hands-free, whereby the shooter must stand completely free (without any support or artificial supports). There are air guns and CO 2 rifles caliber mm 4.5 kg and a maximum weight of 5.5 and a maximum of 7.5 Joule muzzle energy used (details will be in the article air gun described).
