The Österreichische Musik- und Theaterzeitung was an Austrian newspaper that appeared twice a month. The newspaper was published in Vienna from 1888 to 1899 . The editing was supervised by Leopold Müller and Gustav Kühle. The Austrian music and theater newspaper was published by the Reisser & Werthner publishing house .
From 1899 the music and theater newspaper appeared: magazine for music and theater , which is the successor to the Austrian music and theater newspaper . However, this was also discontinued in 1905.
