Austrian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence

The Austrian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence , OFAI , is one of the leading non-profit contract research institutions in Europe.

The institute was founded in 1984 and has been headed by Robert Trappl since then .

Basic research and applied research at OFAI include in particular:

  • Language Technology,
  • Interaction Technologies,
  • Neural Computation and Robotics,
  • Intelligent Music Processing and Machine Learning,
  • Intelligent Software Agents and New Media,
  • Applied Cognitive Science and Social Robotics.
