Özhan Öztürk
Özhan Öztürk (* 1968 in Istanbul , Turkey ) is a Turkish lexicographer and author.
Özhan Öztürk published his research on the culture , history and regional languages and dialects of the Turkish Black Sea coast in two volumes of the "Karadeniz Ansiklopedik Sözlük". In one of his other works, "Folklör ve Mitoloji Sözlüğü", which is the most detailed lexicon on general folklore in the Turkish language , he dealt with the subjects of mythology , folklore and religion.
In “Pontus” Öztürk dealt with the traces of the peoples and cultures that lived on the coasts of the Black Sea from antiquity to the present day , as well as with the history of the cities and civilizations founded and destroyed there. He stated the latter in his rather extensive lexicon "Dünya Mitolojisi" on the myths of ancient cultures and their beliefs about creation, deities and heroes.
