About the civil improvement of women

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

About the civil improvement of women is an important work on the emancipation of women by Theodor Gottlieb von Hippel (1741–1796), which was first published in 1792 in Berlin in the Vossische Buchhandlung. As in his book On Marriage , Hippel criticizes the patriarchal marriage system, concluding that the oppression of women ultimately harms the men themselves.
