Overbuilding

As a superstructure in which is German Switzerland , the development of an area refers to both the process of building, as well as the result of the building activities.

Buildings take place in compliance with Swiss spatial planning . For example, former industrial wastelands or agricultural areas come into question as building areas. For the conversion ( conversion ) before other areas used for longer-term planning is needed. Larger property developers, municipalities, consortia or general contractors come into question for such planning. Settlement areas or business parks projected on the basis of a design plan are also referred to as development . This so-called area development is regulated by law in the canton of Zurich in Part B of the cantonal structure plan within the cantonal planning and building law (PBG) .

The term overbuilding does not have a negative connotation in the context given here .
