The ČSD series EMU 25.0 is an electric multiple unit of the Electric Tatra Railway ( Tatranská elektrická vicinálna dráha ; TEVD). The original numbering at TEVD is not known. It was the first car delivered for the Tatra Railway .

history

After the entire traffic of the Tatra Railway was completed and continuous operation with 1500 V direct current was possible, vehicles were procured from Ganz & Co. and SSW in Budapest .

Compared to the two-axle vehicles of the EMU 26.0 and EMU 28.0 series that were acquired in the same year , this vehicle was used in service trains from the start. Therefore, data about the use of the vehicle or even photos are difficult to find. After the renewal of the Tatra Railway after 1965, the vehicle was retired and scrapped.

technical features

The car is basically a tram construction with an automatic traction brake. Today it is no longer possible to understand whether it was a vacuum or a compressed air brake.

It was a two-axle vehicle. The two drive motors could be controlled in parallel with seven speed levels and one economy level.
