The İkizdere Dam ( Turkish İkizdere Barajı ) is located 10 km northwest of the provincial capital Aydın in the southwestern Turkish province of the same name on the course of the İkizdere Çayı , a right tributary of the Great Meander .
The İkizdere Dam was built in 1999-2010 as a rock embankment with a clay core . It is operated by the state water authority DSİ and is used for drinking water supply and irrigation. The dam has a height of 101 m and a volume of 5.71 million m³ (according to other information 7 million m³). The associated reservoir covers an area of 5.6 km² and has a storage volume of 196 million m³. The dam is designed for the irrigation of 6884 ha.
